Collar Size Guide
How To Measure
To determine a suitable collar size, wrap a tailor’s measure tape or ribbon gently toward the base of your pet’s neck. Keep it snug while being able to slip two fingers, mark where the two ends meet. If you are using ribbon, you will then need to measure the length along a ruler to determine the size.
- Classic Collars
Choose a size that falls within your pet's neck measurement. Our collars can be adjusted by 2 inches with a 0.5" in between holes.
For growing puppies, you may want to order a size that where there will be room to expand as they grow. For adult dogs, you may want to pick a size where the hole is closer to the middle.
- Quick-Release Collar
Our pet collars are designed with Biothane in 5/8" and 3/4" widths. As a guideline, our 5/8" widths are suitable for small to medium neck sized dogs such as Pomeranians, Toy and Mini Poodles, Schnauzers. Our thicker 3/4" widths are suitable for medium to larger width necks including but not limited to Corgis, Beagles, Shiba Inus and Singapore Specials.
- Adjustable Chain Martingale Collar
To choose a size for your dog, with a soft tape measure or ribbon measure snugly but not tightly around the middle of dog's neck. A finger should still be able to slip in between. Add 1-2 inches to your measurement. Pick a size where the measurement range falls within the available collar sizes. Depending on your dog, as a guide, your dog's snug measurement should fall at about the smallest hole on the collar. Please note this is a general guide and may differ depending on dog breed.
